If so, we are recruiting for an exciting Operations Manager role with a leading player in the utility-scale solar sector.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will ensure the seamless delivery of services and projects, enabling the senior leadership team to focus on strategic growth. This pivotal position encompasses client management, operational planning, financial oversight, and adherence to health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Project Management
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of services and projects, ensuring they meet timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Develop and coordinate professional proposals with input from technical teams.
- Utilise project tracking systems to manage enquiries, proposals, and delivery tasks.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent communication and strong relationships.
- Align client expectations with deliverables through transparent communication strategies.
Financial & Performance Reporting
- Monitor and report on P&L and quarterly performance to senior leadership.
- Coordinate timely invoicing and maintain positive cash flow.
Health, Safety & Quality Compliance
- Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks proactively.
Operational Organisation & Coordination
- Manage inbound enquiries and allocate resources for efficient service delivery.
- Organise and refine operational systems, tools, and processes to drive continuous improvement.
About You
Essential:
- Proven experience in operations management, ideally in the large-scale solar or renewable energy sector.
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial management, project management tools, and MS Office.
- Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and quality management standards.
- Full UK Driver's License
Desirable:
- Experience in engineering consultancy or project management in the solar industry.
- Degree in a relevant technical discipline (preferably Electrical Engineering).
- Familiarity with advanced solar testing and inspection methodologies.
- Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
- NEBOSH or equivalent safety certifications.
