Test Analyst
Location: Wiltshire - 1 Day a Week in Office

Position Overview: As a Test Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our client's systems and applications. You will be involved in designing, planning, and executing test scripts based on system and user requirements, from unit testing through to user acceptance testing (UAT). Your work will contribute directly to the smooth operation and enhancement of critical systems supporting our client's mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, create, and execute test scripts based on system and user requirements.
- Adhere to the Test and Quality Assurance strategy, ensuring compliance with standards and procedures.
- Provide expertise in various test phases, ensuring thorough testing from initiation to completion of implementations.
- Translate acceptance criteria into technical and functional test scripts, incorporating all necessary integrations.
- Manage defects, control processes, and prepare dashboard reports to communicate testing status effectively.
- Collaborate with the Test Manager to prioritize test scripts and defects, coordinating resolution with internal teams, implementation partners, and third-party suppliers.
- Support and facilitate end user acceptance testing (UAT) in alignment with project test plans.
- Ensure all test phases meet entry and exit criteria as defined in project standards.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to conduct non-functional testing as per project test plans.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience in testing complex programs and projects.
- Strong stakeholder management and business engagement skills.
- Previous experience in a test analyst role, actively participating in multiple projects.
- Ability to plan, develop, and execute manual test scripts.
- Track record of delivering high-quality work within challenging deadlines and budgets.
Essential Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications:
- ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.
- Proficiency in test planning, execution, and full defect lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with test tools such as Azure DevOps, Microsoft Test Manager, ALM, and Jira.
- Knowledge and practical experience of Agile (SCRUM) methodology.
